The Institute for Learning Sciences and Higher Education (LSE) at ETH Zurich, chaired by Prof. Dr. Manu Kapur, invites applications for up to

2 PhD positions in Learning Sciences and Higher STEM-Education

You are passionate about education and learning in higher education contexts, as well as research on designing for and understanding learning mechanisms across multiple levels: neural, cognitive, affective, social, and cultural. This PhD position is for three years with a start as soon as possible or by arrangement.

Ideally, you hold a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline. You must be able to initiate and thrive in interdisciplinary research projects. Excellent writing and communication skills in English are a must, with language proficiency in German a bonus.

Dr. Manu Kapur was awarded the 2016 Distinguished Alumnus Award for excellence in research and teaching in the learning sciences by The Department of Mathematics, Science and Technology, Teachers College, Columbia University. The reception honouring Dr. Manu Kapur was held on 12th April 2016 between 4pm and 5.30pm local time at Russell 305 + Gallery room in the library of Teachers College, Columbia University, 525A. 120th Street, New York.
